Scotty Nguyen Poker Challenge IV Set for November

The fourth annual Scotty Nguyen Poker Challenge (SNPC) has been formally set to take place in November for 3 weeks at Tulsa, OK's Cherokee Casino Resort. There will be 31 are planned to take place between November 1-20, 2007. The event will naturally, end with a three-day Main Event on November 18-20. The buy-in for this Main Event is set at $5,150. Last year, there were over 5,000 players which brought the prize pool for this main event over $1.7 million. The estimated prize pool for the Scotty Nguyen Poker Challenge is being estimated to go over the $2 million mark.

Many poker notables have already committed to participating in this event. In the past, great pros such as TJ Cloutier, Mike Matusow, Berry Johnston, Todd Brunson, Kathy Liebert, Mike Sexton, Bob Ciaffone, Tom Franklin, Michael 'The Grinder' Mizrachi, David Levi, Morgan Machina and tournament host Nguyen have all participated.

The Nguyen Poker Challenge will be including events that have buy-ins of $2,080- and $1,070-buyin events that will take place on November 16 and 14. There will also be many other events with buy-ins that go as low as $120. Furthermore, there will be single-table and mega-satellite opportunities both before and during the SNPC. The game range is quite good also; for example, there will be short-handed NLHE, at least one rebuy event, limit and pot-limit hold'em, pot-limit Omaha, limit Omaha hi/lo, 7-card stud and H.O.R.S.E. There will also be themed tournaments such as a 'Jack and Jill' team event, a ladies event and two senior events.
