Software and Graphics
Lobby
Everest Poker software contains all the great functionality that many of the other online poker rooms do; what makes them different lies in the look and feel of the software. The lobby uses tabs to filter out the different games available. However, unlike many other sites that use the tab system, Everest Poker goes a step further and allows players to filter out specific ring game blinds or tournament buy-ins, making it extremely easy to navigate and revisit specific tables. To add further convenience, there is also a button called “Take any open seat,” which searches for open seats in the ring games based on the parameters a player has set. What is also in the lobby area is an option to view specific game history. Those of you who wish to utilize this better have a pen and paper handy to write down which game you will wish to review later on. The Lobby area is comprehensive containing data on view flop percentages, average hand per hour played, and average pot for the ring games.
The game play interface has its ups and downs. Graphically, there are multiple avatars players can choose from and they are fun to look at. The table is nice looking but, unlike the traditional oval table you see in other sites, Everest Poker is more circular. Because of this, the spacing is tight and the opponents on the left and right edges are off the screen. Some players may find the cluttered feeling a bit annoying. There is a great short easy access hand history and player statistic that is easily viewed during game play. A big minus for us at GR poker is that the site does not support note taking on opponents. A basic function all sites should include we feel.
Ring Game / Tournament Traffic
Ring game traffic has grown past 5,000 players during peak hours.
Tournament traffic is decent and the games tend to be loose. Buy-ins range from $1 to several hundred dollars. Everest Poker also offer plenty of great guarantee tournaments with prizes as large as $100,000.
Rake Policy
The rake is the amount of money the online site takes as its fee four hosing the game.
Everest Poker rake is better than most online poker sites. The ring game rake is at 4 percent with a maximum of 3 dollars. Note that industry average is at 5 percent. Furthermore, Everest Poker will not take a rake on uncalled hands, fixed limit micro games, or when there is no flop.
Bonuses and Promotions
Everest Poker’s initial deposit bonus is a flat 100 dollars. To get the bonus released, players must earn Summit Points.
Summit Points is the system used by Everest Poker to promote loyalty to the site. Players earn these points by participating in real money ring and tournament games. For more information on this, after registration visit Everest Poker website.
Everest Poker offers a referral program where the award for getting someone to sign up is 50 dollars.
The site also offers some freerolls where the prize are tokens to cash tournaments.
Available Support
Support is available only through e-mail but through all the languages the site supports. E-mail response time has been known to be extremely fast.
