Software and Graphics
Lobby
Doyle’s Room lobby area uses a combination of tabs and pull-down-menus as its system of navigation through the different games and tournaments. This make searching for sit ‘n’ goes very easy. The ring games area of the lobby does show average pot, but not flop viewed percentages. There are some entertaining functions such as a buddy list and a chance to go into detail with your profile for people to read. Furthermore, the site does make it easy to access a manager even during game play, mimicking the high quality service you would get from a floorman in a casino.
Lobby
Game play graphics are well balanced between looks and practicality. Colors are full but not too distracting. Avatars are obvious and the cards are big and clear. The table itself is large to prevent the feeling of “clutteredness. The game chat area is a separate window that is at the side, this makes reading the chat area easier and more convenient. Player statistics and hand history information is pretty extensive and clear. Both of these options are accessible through the options area of the lobby. However, hand history can be accessed in the game play table also.
General Look at Traffic
During peak hours, real money ring game traffic fluctuates between 2,300 to 2,600 players. Tournament player traffic has grown to about 14,000 players during peak hours.
Unfortunately, majority of the players in the ring games tend to be in the limit and no limit hold’em areas.
Because of the network Doyle’s Room is a part of, there is a decent flow of new players which for the most part keeps the competition at being somewhat loose and not too tough.
Rake Policy
The rake is the amount of money the online site takes as its fee four hosing the game.
Doyle’s Room rake is average. Games up to $1/$2 dollar blinds will have a maximum rake of 1 dollar while the rest are at 3 dollars. If there is no flop, no rake is taken.

Highlighted Promotions
One of the biggest promotions this site is known for is the celebrity bounty tournaments. Each week there is a bounty tournament where players will have the opportunity to play with a variety of celebrities or even Doyle Brunson himself. These celebrities act as players with bounties on them. The player who knocks them out gains extra cash prize (the more one player knocks out the bigger the prize).
World Poker Tour Satellites with prize packages that are worth $15,000 dollars are available at various times. Be sure to check their website for the current date and time of their next WPT satellite. The winner will get an entry fee to any World Poker Tour Event (except for the main event) and travel expenses.
Doyle’s Room is one of the few online poker rooms offering a World Series of Poker Satellite. The winner from these tournaments will receive a prize package that is worth $12,500 dollars. Ten thousand dollars will go the entry of the WSOP 2007 main event while $2,500 will cover for travel expenses.
